yea my sweetie Sassy had so many different skin problems and she was alergic the medications I found the natural remedies worked better and eased her from scratching!! plus they look at it as a special treat and eggs and Dr. Maggies oil are good for them!! anything else I can help with will be my pleasure...especially helping other pugs!! Have a great day!!

This is great to know as i just rescued a pug with skin issues, vet has put her on medication and a special bathing shampoo but,if there are also other things i can do later on as she may always have some skin issues this is good to know and for my other pugs also as i do the fish oil already and their so soft and don't scratch but,i have heard about using pumpkin also. Thanks!

a good idea for problem skin pugs (my beloved Sassy had), I used to give her an egg once a week and this helped also there is a product out called Dr. Maggies, and I used a cap full on her food and it also helped and its chicken flavoured and Sassy loved it!!

We give Pickles one fish oil tablet each day wrapped in sliced turkey. We bathe her weekly with a bar of glycerin vegetble soap found in our local health store. Each morning she gets a half a cup of Eukanuba dry dog food moistened with a teaspsoon of raw canned pumpkin, warm water and peas/carrots to add fiber to her diet. She grazes on demand the remaining 1/2 cup of dry Eukanuba. She was loosing hair and had skin irritations. Within two weeks her hair grew back and thickened and her coat is clean and soft. Sores are gone and she seldom itches We do not give her table scraps and walk her two to three times a day. Two 15 minute walks and one 60 minute walk.

This is from my personal experience and works for my Pug. Please, before doing or using anything on your doggie, consult your Vet.
I've used this for Clifford's nose and sidejaw crevices; his under armpit folds; tummy, paws, top of head, etc. not get in eyes or nostrils. This works great for Clifford..hope it works for your precious pooch too!

When you can't travel with your pugs ...

When traveling and can't take our babies with us we used to have a friend stay with them at the house. She let us know that they spend most of their time by the front door waiting for mama to come home. That broke my heart. Velma even tries to escape to "look for mama." One time it was many hours before she was found -- so so scary. Now we leave the girls at a friends house who has a doggie daycare. They do okay there but really keep to themselves/huddle together in a corner. I'm so conflicted.…See More
