Social network for pugs and their people.
I'm starting this group as a place to put my ideas for all things created in the pug image. Stickers, tshirt designs, etc.
I'll post new ideas here and will ask for comments about them. If you have any ideas you want made into something post it here as well and I'll see what I can do!

Comment by Konrad Jaschke on March 4, 2013 at 2:26pm I've been busy lately. I'm not even in the top 20 on pugslife anymore! :( I gotta get going on some of these projects. Still a bit busy with work and life, but I will be doing them.
I just got the puzzle that I made of the picture below of all the pug stuff. I'll do a review of the quality here and then I might do a reshoot with some better lighting, etc. and then if anyone that likes puzzles wants them I can make them available.
I also made my neighbor a puzzle using a collage of pictures of their dog. They are going to give me a review of the quality, etc. when they get a chance to put the puzzle together.
So far the puzzle looks great. The box is not your typical sized puzzle box, it comes as a 5"x7"x1.5" box. Cheaper to ship I'm sure. But the puzzle will be 12"x16.5". Not a really large puzzle, but not too bad. 285 pieces. You can get smaller ones with larger sized pieces for children, etc. The 285 pieces are the regular size I usually see in puzzles, about 1"x.75".

Comment by YOGI on February 15, 2013 at 2:53pm Oh I have faith in you ;) It will turn out just like the sample idea!
Comment by Konrad Jaschke on February 15, 2013 at 2:20pm No one has cut it yet. :) Its just an example of how it might look. I'm not the one doing the cutting! :)
Comment by YOGI on February 15, 2013 at 11:19am Very Nice. You can definately have a smaller piece of wood "hanging" off of little hooks and have a saying below "Home is Where the Pug Lives" or "In Memory of" info. Shaker pegs could work to hang your keys from. I use to do scrow saw work and I can appreciate just how difficult all those little cuts must have been. Kudos - great job!

I'll go though Leah's pictures later and find a nice "naked" one. Let me find a picture first then we can decided if it should be full or just head. Let me check the sites for memorial plaques again and check on sizes. I get back in touch with you later!!
Comment by Konrad Jaschke on February 14, 2013 at 10:18pm I'll see how much time it takes to cut something like this out. I'm thinking its not something she can reproduce really quickly. Maybe just a head would be better? We could possibly do something easier like this, but with wood burning. I've never done that, but could look into it as well. One thing I'm hoping will make this sort of stuff easier for the cutter is I'm going to have my machine cut it out of vinyl. Then you stick it to the wood and you have your tracing template right there, not real work involved. We will see if that helps make things better and faster?
Comment by Konrad Jaschke on February 14, 2013 at 10:14pm Carol, if you get me a picture of Leah you like I'd find time to convert it to this type of template and my neighbor would probably cut it out. Just email me a good picture, nice and simple pic without the wonderful clothes Leah always had on would be best. Although we could try one with your favourite outfit and see how it turned out.
For a generic remembrance plaque what dimensions would you think the plaque should be? Would just the head be better?
Comment by Carol Ornoski on February 14, 2013 at 9:32pm Konrad, that is spectacular!!! It's going to look so beautiful when it is done. I can't wait to see the finished product. Are you going to have one made with Kloe's name on it for yourself?
I know that I could get a lot of orders for this type of pug silhouette on wood. I would certainly buy them as gifts for people I know with pugs. If you made the wood longer beneath the pug, people would also be able to add a brass plaque in memory of their pug, a plaque for an award of some type or just a plaque with their pugs name on it. That would be truly unique as in looking for memorial plaques for myself and for a gift for Leah's vet I have found nothing I liked. If used as a memorial with a verse the wood would have to be long enough to accommodate the plaque, smaller if someone was just going to put a brass plaque with just a name on it. This is something I would buy myself and you would definitely sell a lot of them.
THIS WOULD BE JUST THE PERFECT REMEMBRANCE PLAQUE FOR A PUG!
