Pug Designs

I'm starting this group as a place to put my ideas for all things created in the pug image.  Stickers, tshirt designs, etc.

I'll post new ideas here and will ask for comments about them.  If you have any ideas you want made into something post it here as well and I'll see what I can do!

Nothing like pug art to make the day.

Ha! Ha!  Good one.  But, I think someone else mentioned mugs and meant coffee.

Meanwhile, your pug "mug" graphic is fabulous!

"he was mugged by three men who stole his bike"

Its not to make money though, just for fun for the members of pugslife (the poster that is).  With all the print on demand sites now the end user can print anything on anything themselves.  You can do your own mugs fairly easily.

I gotta change the name of the poster! :)  Or I could go the seinfeld route sort of and make a poster with pictures of coffee mugs with pictures of pugs on them.  Hey thats a good idea, I'll see if I can find an easy way to put a picture on a picture of a coffee mug, shouldn't be too hard to distort the image to make it look like its on the mug. :)

I LOVE that photo of Kloe!!!

As someone who has been involved in the U.S. gift industry before, I'd shy away from categories that already have too many items unless it's something that is truly unique.  There aren't many pug calendars and the ones I've seen are ho-hum.  Coffee mugs?  If they're unique.  We don't often use coffee cups in the US.  I'm just saying that I think we need to be careful and think outside the box for best results.

We could do mugs as well, but I guess I named the poster poorly.  I meant mugs as in a mug shot, a icture of your face.  So it would be a poster with all of the pugslife members pugs on it. :)  But we can do coffee cups as well.

I have lots of Pug Mugs but none with the Mighty Hektor on them. Here in Britain Pugs are on everything, t-shirts handbags shopping bags, I brought back an umbrella from Germany for Hektor's girlfriend Rachel who if you look very carefully was wearing Pug on her outfit in my last pictures. I think the mugs are an excellent idea and I for one will be ordering.

We could even have a rest in peace version of this with all our beloved pugs that have gone on to the rainbow bridge?

And even a non pugs "friends" version with all our pugs dog friends.

24"x36" with about 70 mugs on it would make each mug about 2.5" wide on the poster I think.

Anyone who wanted on the poster I would need their favourite pic of their pugs (original rather than what you might have uploaded to pugslife would be best, but not manditory), pugs names, and their huamn's name (whatever you wanted on the polaroid, pugslife member name, real name, etc.)

If anyone is interested then get me the above information and I'll prep your pugs picture.  And spread the word to others.  Even if we don't print it out for the website I could still just give everyone the original and they can get it printed wherever they want.

Here is an example of Kloe's Pug Mug pic...

So had some ideas on doing something to help raise money for pugslife.org.  One idea I got from Fran (don't know where she got it) was to do a poster of all our pugs on pugslife.  Calling it Pug Mugs of course.  Been looking up costs.  Custom posters on some of these sites that print and ship for you can get very expensive.  So still looking, found a place in China that might be good.  At first glance looks like the poster could be $24 plus shipping.  That would give pugslife maybe $6-$8 per poster, sell ten a month and the site would be paid for. :)  MOre professional looking websites that are in the states would make the poster more expensive or we could go to a smaller size.  I was wanting 24"x36".  Here is a possible look for it.
