Hi! I'm new to Pug's Life -- but I'm hoping I can meet many new interesting Pug People. I live in Brooklyn with my pug, Socrates. (and 3 other dogs & 5 cats!)

Jack Black adopted 4 yrs. ago at age 5,and Bobby Joe adopted after mast cell cancer and bladder stone operation about 2 months ago, finally had their first confrontation.Jack was miffed over this new pug.He waited untill he was in
better shape and healed. He had staples removed a month ago, they found a new
tumor. The stitches come out tomorrow.Well neither is afraid of the the other.
I kept them not too close to me at the same time.Bobbie Joe started to climb off his floor pillow onto the couch and got to close to Jack.Snarls, lunges, and
fake and real bites.2 hours later it started again.Jack is overweight and limps,
Bobby Joe has bad rear legs and has had operations. It was a draw.
This happens the pug who has been in the house longest usually starts it.

DR MARTY GOLDSTEIN

Hi there I made an appointment to go see this famous Dr Marty Vet to the stars (Oprah, Martha, John Travolta to name a few...) I'm more interested if anyone here has any experience with going to this practice. They offer an integrative approach. traditional and very advanced homepathic and holistic.
Have 1 friend who started going to him recently and is over the moon.

My senior pug has eye issues (constant infections and degenerative eye conditions plus 1 dry eye), arthritis and some reoccurring bacteria infection that traditional vets have just pumped her full of antibiotics a couple of times a year without getting to the root of the problem. The initial appointment is 1 full hour with Dr Marty for 420.00. I will start a Blog to let you know how it all goes for us but would like to hear anyone weigh in if they have any experience with Dr Marty or the Smith Ridge Clinic.
thanks,
maddi and CASPER (she's the cute one pictured)

Pug Hill can be found by entering the 76St. entrance to Central Park.Beteween 50-70 yards in is a hill.Once populated by numerous pugs, mostly young.
Since starting to work Sat/Sun the past few years I dont know its status.
When my pugs were 3-6 yrs. we used to go.,in 2000-2006,as I adopted new pugs.Theyd be there Sat?Sun afternoons.Or you can enter the Park on 72St.
and make a right going past the far side of the sailboat and duck pond,to the
left of the Alice statue.Although people share water, bring some of your own.

PUG HILL is in central Park on the hill near the Alice in Wonderland statue. They used to meet there sat or sun (forget which) around 1pm.

Been up since 7am (work, pug walks etc)Its time for a nap with the boys.
Jack Black(when he was the only pug)slept at my feet and sometimes climb on
my chest to lick face.New pug would sleep on my chest. Now Jack is irked and wants to rest his head on my chest and boot Bobby Joe to foot of the bed.He claims seniority. Richard Siegel

My name is richard Siegel.Loved pugs since a child.Able to rescue/adopt pugs after mom left me a 5 room apartment on East 71 Street in Manhattan New York.Adopted Bobby Joe operated on for internal&external mast cell cancer.
Surgical removal of bladder stones. They(ASPCA) also cleaned and extracted
a few teeth and neutered him.He has trouble with his gait.About once a block he
sits or lies down and needs to be carried about 30 feet.He will be cared for and
given the best life that his remaining years allow him. Most i had was 4 dogs.
All pugs. They have a wonderful group of snorts, snuffles, sneezes.Only one pug
(Jack Bl ack) didnt snore.

Ahh, who is this half pint? She is adorable. I have noticed kids don't just give hugs with thier arms, barely touching someone or something like so many of us adults do... if they're hugging you.. they use their whole bodies, just like half pint and…
