JUST CHECKED MY 3 YR OLD PUG TODAY AND THE TOP OF HER NOSE IS ALL SWALLON AND SHE SEEMS TO HAVE A RED BUMP IN HER WRINKLE I CLEANED THEM OUT AND PUT THE INFECTION CREAM I HAVE FOR THE ORTHER PUG WHO GETS INFECTED BUT WAS WOUNDERING IF THE RED BUMP IN HER WRINKLE WAS A BLOCKED PORE GOING TO KEEP IT CLEAN WITH SOAP AND WARM WATER THEN WILL PUT ANIMAX OINMENT TO SEE IF THAT HELPS HAVE ANYON HAD THIS BE4 ??THANKS ROSE

If the infection is bad (and your description sounds like it is pretty bad) then I would go see a vet. Your pug might need antibiotics or an antibiotic cream. Later, after the infection is gone, you can clean out with a dry towel, get the dirt out, then put the animax ointment on it to maintain a normal fold. I would adhere to this regime about once a week, to keep the fold nice, and at the same time it is good to check the ears.

THANKS LUCY YE O I NO ALL ABOUT THE EARS LOL CLEAN THEM ABOUT 7 TIMES A WEEK NONE STOP AND PUTTING THE OTOMAX CREAM IN AS NEED THEY HAVE A CREAM FOR EVERY WRINKLE ITS UNREAL LOL.......SO I CHECKED HER THIS AM AND IT SEEMS TO BE BETTER AFTER CLEANING THEM OUT WITH WARM SOAPY WATER DRYING AND THEN PUTTING ANIMAX IN THERE HAVE TO DO IT 3 TIMES A DAY I CHECK BOTH PUGS ALL THE TIME IN THE WRINKLES AND SHE WAS ALWAYS FINE SEEMS LIKE SHE AHVE LITTLE GLANDS BESIDE HER NOSE THE RED NESS IS GONE DOWN THIS AM TG...YES IF I TAUGHT IT WAS ANYTHING REALLLYY BAD I BE GONE RIGHT TO VET..SO I WILL KEEP A EYE ON HER UNTILL MONDAY THEN CHECK HER AGAIN AND IF THE CREAM HAVEN MADE THE LITTLE GLANDS GO DOWN SHES GOING RIGHT IN BUT GUESSING ITS THE WEATHER TOO HOT FOR THEM AND THEY SWEAT IN THE FOLDS THANKS FOR THE REPLY!!!!
I use the otomax cream in the fold to maintain the fold area also! Glad your pug is doing better...Lucy
