Sooo... my black pug puppy's butt sticks out a bit. She has a vet appointment next week so I'll ask teh vet then, but I was wondering if any of you experienced that?

It sticks out especially when she has to potty. It's not the insides sticking out, it's just like a bump or looks like an "outtie" belly button.

I don't think it's anything to really worry about.  I've noticed that pug butt's as with belly buttons come in all shapes and sizes and innies and outies.  Of course if you are at the vet you might as well get all your questions answered.  But I would not fret about it in the mean time.  Your black girl is a cutey.

My Portia has small face, slender body, small feet, tiny nostrils, small butt but she has a little longer legs and body than my past two fawn pugs.

I don't think you have anything to worry about. At least you know when she has to go potty. Portia start grabbing her tail a sure sign she has to go.
This is true. I've grown to appreciate her "poop alert button". Helps with potty training :]
My 2 fawns do that but they were breeder rescues and have had MANY puppies. My black pug doesn't and never had puppies. One is so outtie that I was afraid she wouldn't be able to hold her bowel movements especially when she barks because it seriosly looks like she is going poop but no problems. My blacks does seem to puff up? A bit if her anal glands are full.

If it changes worry otherwise just leave her be! :)
I despise people that breed over and over again. It is really hard on the female. We can't stop puppy mills anymore that we can stop the Middle East fighting each other on religion. Just impossible.
Maybe some day someone with power (a politician) will crack down and make some laws :[
thanks guys!

Our older black pugs butt used to stick out all the time. His son is now two and now his does as well especially when he needs to go outside. When he barks we always say he is blowing out his butthole cause it poofs and often farts when he barks. Vet says nothing wrong with either of them.

When you can't travel with your pugs ...

When traveling and can't take our babies with us we used to have a friend stay with them at the house. She let us know that they spend most of their time by the front door waiting for mama to come home. That broke my heart. Velma even tries to escape to "look for mama." One time it was many hours before she was found -- so so scary. Now we leave the girls at a friends house who has a doggie daycare. They do okay there but really keep to themselves/huddle together in a corner. I'm so conflicted.…See More
