Thanks, Pam. I understand your hesitation about the dog park. We go all of the time because the girls seem to get more exercise than if I walk them (I move slower than I used to also) and they love it there. But I'll look forward to seeing you and your kids on the square.Hope we can all get together soon. I just love this group!
Mary, I loved your update. We so needed that moisture, so sorry it was messed up as a pug play date. I'll look forward to meeting up with the group at the Courthouse Plaza; not a big believer in dog parks, even the small side. I can't move too fast, and it could be a life and death situation with any dog size. A shihtzu (sp?) lost an eye in less than 5 seconds, it scares me so. I like other peoples dogs on a leash, and mine close at hand to scoop up. Again, thanks for the cute write up, sounds like you met some nice dog folks! :0)
Hi, everyone. Zoe, Chanel and I went to the Park yesterday. We wanted to be there to just check it out and in case any of our pug friends showed up. The girls won't even go out to pee if the ground is wet, (snowy, rainy, the wind is blowing hard, or they dreamed that it was), but they are always up for a r-i-d-e. The first 15 - 20 minutes, it was chilly but nice; the sun was shinning and the girls ran around and met some other canine friends; a Boxer mix puppy, a pair of Japanese Chin, and a Shweenie (Shih tzu/Dachshund, who was there for the very first time) were among the crew. Not Pugs but very cute and friendly none the less. We had just made the acquaintance of a Pug who was there with his "sister", a Greyhound, when it turned icy cold and began to hail, then rain. Lucky on two counts; one: there are very nice covered ramadas at the park to stand under, and two; there was enough time to tell the Pug's mom all about our group and how to find us and join. Then Zoe, Chanel, and I raced to the car to turn on the heater and warm up. As a side note, to show how nice people at the park are, the boxer puppy's mom offered to give me a cute pink dog jacket that they just discovered she had outgrown. It was too small for my girls too so they left it there in case someone else would come along who could use it. Hopefully we can all get together there when the weather cooperates. It's so nice to watch the girls run off their leashes and socialize.Hope to see you all next time.
I hate to admit this but I am a fair weather person. The high today is 59, winds 10-20, mostly cloudy with a change of the occasional thunderstorm. Im going to have to back out today. Sorry because I was really looking forward to a nice day at the pugpark. Apparently next weekend is supposed to be beautiful?
Looking forward to seeing everyone at the Willow Creek Dog Park this Sunday at 11:00 AM
Zoe, Chanel and I will be there. Looking forward to seeing our friends and hhopefully meeting new ones.
Just read the email. Is it this Sunday April 26th? Sorry but I've be on vacation for 15 days and my brain has not caught up to reality.
Are there any plans for a get together? Dream dog park?
That sounds great! There are a couple of new people I met with pugs, too. :0)
