When traveling and can't take our babies with us we used to have a friend stay with them at the house. She let us know that they spend most of their time by the front door waiting for mama to come home. That broke my heart. Velma even tries to escape to "look for mama." One time it was many hours before she was found -- so so scary.
Now we leave the girls at a friends house who has a doggie daycare. They do okay there but really keep to themselves/huddle together in a corner. I'm so conflicted. At home they are stressedj/wait by the door and at the daycare they huddle but at least safe, well cared for and loved.
Does anyone else have a similar experience with their furbabies??
I'm lucky as i work from home and i don't travel anywhere unless my furbabes can go,most of ours are day trips and they enjoy it as much as i do as they have many friends out around here,i will not go anywhere unless they can go and that's the way it has always been.
