What can i give milo to boost his energy levels

Mainly for dog shows. The last one we went too by the time it was obedience he tried his best, he sat and he watched me attentively but could barely keep his eyes open and couldnt take it no more and lay down to go to sleep. He wont eat dog food. *Biscuits, mushy tinned food etc* sometimes he wont even eat his food cus he just wants to sleep (If he aint eating cus hes tired then its just a neverending cycle)
I dont know what to do to get his energy levels back up. He used to be on Canovel conditioning tablets which was full of vitamins but then we ran out and havent stocked up.. What can i give him to get his energy back up? Hes just NOT interested in normal dog food but will happily eat dog treats during training.

You have my sympathy because I find that they are so willing they often do too much and use up their reserves of energy. I would suggest that before he goes to the dog shows you allow him to have a couple of quiet days. No training a very little walking and what about a little re meat before he goes. If you are finding dry food a bit of a chore with him, what about a little minced beef cooked in water or stock, but watch the salt level of the stock.
I hope that is some help, Milo deserves a bit of luck in the Show World.
Hes had alot more energy today.. Woke up earlier too. I gave them meat for breakfast (lightly cooked on the outside), peawee had any scraps milo left haha but he was alot happier.. I just gave them some blitzed lentils and carrots that were cooked in a little bit of beef stock i made from a beef bone i had in the freezer.. I see no harm in lentils, i like 'em, give me energy so might give him some. then they had chicken and beef with it (cooked lightly on the outside) they ate it up in barely 2 minutes. Milo scarfed it down its like hes not eaten in weeks! Although technically he hasnt really. Hes been turning his nose up at slushy tin meat and dry biscuits for weeks. Hes having a nap now though but hes got alot more energy than normal. I gave them a bone earlier.. Milo had it and as soon as i answered the phone peawee snatched it so milo came to find me and whine at me and waited til i went and got it back off peawee. hehe. Theyre like sulky children sometimes. Maybe hell do better on this diet.. Hopefully i wont have to cook the meat a little in the future once theyre used to rawish meat.
Glad to hear you have found something that is working with Milo and indirectly Peawee. I find though that too much chicken makes Hektor pong a bit and I watch the fat level but if it is uncooked it probably will be better more natural.
First get a check up at the vet. Have blood work done, CBC and Super Chem. Is your dog over weight? Is your dog fit? Do you take him on daily walks outside of training for obedience? Do you feed a high quality dog food? Are his/her treats a high quality? You need to read labels on teats and dog food to weed out the ones that are poor quality. You want the first ingredient to be real meat and no grains. Are you training outside when it's hot and humid? Are you training too long? I show my pugs in obedience. The day before a show I don't train at all. I make sure we both get to bed early the night before. The week before a show my training sessions are shorter.
