Does this sound like a description of a pug with stenotic nare? Early this morning, around 1:30 am, my son woke me up and said, "Your dog is acting weird and making strange noises!" I flew out of bed to Mr. Foo's crate and found him standing outside of it, making a loud snuffing/snoring sound. His eyes showed signs of panice, his sides were heaving heavily. I opened his mouth to try to help him intake some air, because it sounded like he couldn't get any. The heavy heaving of his chest reminded me of when my son had croop when he was two. He couldn't draw breath and it was hard on his heart. It took a while for him to calm and for the snorting/snuffing to subside. I've seen him exhibit a bit of this one other time, but it wasn't nearly like this. I've been afraid to leave him alone for even a little bit since this happened.
