Sadly, we need to start looking for a new home for our pugs

My wife and I have been heartbroken about the realization that we need to look for a new loving (pug loving) home for our pugs.

We love our pugs and they are part of the family, but our life has got to a point where we just cannot give them the love and attention they need. We have a 2 year old child and are expecting second child in April.

Our pug journey has been long, and I'm feeling sad even writing this. Ninja and Champ are our pugs, they are sisters (4 and 5 years old). We brought them with us from South Africa when we emigrated to California a year ago. Everyone told us we were crazy, but we explained that the pugs are our family and we can't leave them behind. And now with the love we have for them - we are hoping there will be someone out there who can give them back the lifestyle they deserve.

I received a message from Quentin and he has found a loving home for the puggies very close to his family that way he can visit with them.  He worked very hard to find the perfect family.  Since he is so busy with his family, he may not have the time to come on here, so here is the email he sent to me March 10, 2015:

Hey Pam,

I contacted Christine, and she said she could help. When I took the pugs to get their shots and check up at the vet I actually mentioned to him that I was looking. He referred me to one of his clients who has two pugs, and to cut a long story short, he ended up taking both our pugs.
They are now living in a loving home just up the road, we can visit them when ever we want. Their new "dad" is retired so he is at home all day with them too.
Thing worked out perfectly for us. We're sad to not have them anymore, but it has made our life a bit more stable and calm.

From what I can see it is a win win situation, for the Pugs it is a blessing because like it or not Pugs need company. I know that with Angus I should have let him go to my Mum because he suffered from the lack. Others cope very well to being on their own for periods. Both Henry and Hektor now manage fine if left in for a few hours. If they get no attention they can become extremely naughty and if they have someone who is there with them they will be happy and eventually will not bother that Quentin and family are no longer their family. It was a hard decision but in this case a thoughtful one.
