Well I haven't been doing a good job managing those fine points of puggie hygiene.  At vet today, learned that Pema's itchy ears caused by yeast infection, not mites as I suspected.  The ear wash we'd been using not helpful as it doesn't have drying property.  Got the right kind and an Rx for treatment.  Pimply chin too - but then Pema is a teenager.
Karma's visit to the ophthalmologist vet confirmed  that she has pigmentary keratitis so she'll have daily eye drops for rest of her life to prevent blindness.
She has made such progress with socialization towards we humans. I'm really proud of her and it is good since it makes it easier now to get those twice daily eye drops done.  And I have neglected her face wrinkles too so I'll be mending my ways.

As i know about this i have four that i have to do i'm always doing crinkles as we call them and their ears as i have two that need drops and i keep all eyes clean and do their nails i'm always busy but,i love it oh,and bath time is always fun lol so aren't brushing the teeth as brent knows i do all their care myself i don't trust groomers i have my own way and i enjoy taking care of them.

Wow, 4 pugs! I've thought about adding another ..... thanks for the support, will remember it as I mend my ways.
Well Ann don't feel to bad experienced Pug Owners sometimes fall down on the job as well. The wrinkle is not always as simple as a good clean out would seem, I had one that touching this was the worst thing you could do. I am fighting an ear infection at the moment and if Hektor's ear does not clear up this time it is back to the Vet. I don't really like using ear cleaners that are not prescribed as I find that most cause problems. The pimples sometimes just vanish, Hektor had a few when he was younger but hasn't had any for a while. Leave well alone and they normally go. I am sorry for her eye problems but you have dealt with this and hopefully she will be fine now.
The one thing I would say Ann is that Pugs are so resilient, they put up with a lot of handling and the sooner people start the easier it becomes.
You and Pema will become a team in doing all the clean chores that she needs.
thanks helena >> I appreciate your supportive suggestions.
