I had a black pug one that would develope a lot of bumps and softish moles like items on his face. He was allergic to plastic. I switched out all his bowls to glass and they cleared up. I keep plastic away from all my pugs..well YOU KNOW...as possible!! Apparently this is somewhat common.
My little Phillip had the same issue. I was told by an ICU vet nurse that it was most likely due to oils. She said it was a break out like teenagers get and is very similar to acne. To remedy the situation, I started to wipe his face everyday with baby wipes and cleaned his bowls out every day also. It totally went away. If the issue is skin tags, my friends pug had to get them removed. Hope this helps!
You are seeing a build up of Keritan (dead skin), not warts. You can soften and remove it with emu oil or a moisturizing product WITHOUT petroleum. Petroleum products can harm dogs. Always check with your vet before you put anything on his/her nose or near eyes. Please keep us updated, and welcome to Pugslife! :0)
This is such a great site.... my Piper gets what appears to be pimples on her face around her mouth and after a few days they dry up and become little scabs which I can easily pick off. Since she is my first pug I wasn't sure if this is normal, now I know others get the same thing. I am going to start wiping her face at least once a day and see if this helps keep them away. Any suggestions on the type of wipes to use? Thanks!

I think I know that feeling, I have said this before and shall do so again. I have had a motto for many years now, it goes like this: One is not enough and two is one to few.
