ive just learned today that my 6 year old pug nemo has a mass cell tumor... as fate would have it i'm out of town for a month and freaking out because he is with my mom in PA the vet has called me and explained she would like to remove the tumor asap (next tues) to find out what stage the tumor is... if any... this is all new to me and i'm hoping there someone out there that can (a) help explain what is going on and (b) give me some good news about their pugs mast cell tumor...

I am sorry to hear about nemo I just lost a female pug @13 to a mass cell tumor ... She was 13yrs. old surgery was not a good ideal due to her age... Have it tested to see if it is cancerous... Or just have it removed... Let me know how nemo makes out...

can you tell me what the mast cell tumor looks like? my pug has two little bumps under her skin and i'll be taking her to the vet next week.

Please use caution if your thinking about chemo, I lost my 6yr. old Chloe' and I truly believe that it was due to the long term effects from the Chemo. She was actually cancer free after her third surgery, but I did the Chemo.as a precaution to the return of the mast cell tumors.
