A Portland tradition continues on Sunday, May 23rd when a parade of costumed pugs take to the street for the 10th Annual Pug Crawl. The popular Portland event raises funds for the Oregon Humane Society and gives hundreds of pugs (and their owners) a chance to enjoy food, microbrews and live music while watching the annual costume parade outside of MacTarnahan's Taproom in Northwest Portland.
MacTarnahan's Taproom, part of Portland's oldest microbrewery, will offer beer and classic brew house cuisine for the crowd. There will also be a pug kissing booth, retail booths selling pug-friendly goodies, and OHS volunteers with dogs available for adoption.
A $10 admission donation is suggested, with 100 percent of donations going to help animals at OHS. The Pug Crawl depends on volunteer staffing and the generosity of MacTarnahan's Tap Room.
When: Sunday, May 23, 1 -4 pm
Where: MacTarnahan's Tap Room, 2730 NW 31st Ave., Portland (directions)
Cost: $10 suggested donation to the Oregon Humane Society, pugs (and other dogs) free; kids 10 and under free.
